The term Brahmacharya is a combination of two Sanskrit root words:
- “Brahma“: Divine (Supreme Lord)
- “Charya“: Conduct (Behavior).
Therefore, Brahmacharya means keeping divine conduct. Another meaning of the same word is proceeding to the divine (Supreme Lord).
